Feeling Sad

I am feeling sad because of the following three news:

Jack Layton, our opposition leader passed away today because of Cancer. (He wins his race, but he lose his battle). It brings back the memory of me and my Mom before she passed away because of Lung Cancer.

The residents of Vancouver has to spent 92% of their before tax home income to purchase their dream home. However, people from oversea (tourists and immigrants) purchase their residence with CASH. They don't have to go through the processing of mortgage. They drive up the market price of the real estates. Where they make their cash. People born in here can never have the chance of owning their place.

Hong Kong, the place where I spent my childhood, has an inflation rate of more than 7.5 %. It will continue to increase. Life in there was used to be simple and happy. How can the people survive in there now?? What happened to the Pearl of Oriential???
